Announcements

ASD and make-up time will be Monday through Thursday in Mr. McKnight's room until 4:30. Teachers have an updated list of those students who need to make up time.

A free practice test will be given on May 8, 2010 at AHS for any sophomore, junior or senior who plans to take the SAT in June. Come by guidance for a form to sign up by May 3rd.

High School seniors planning to attend Wilkes Community College during the upcoming school year should take note of the financial aid deadlines for the 2010-2011 school year. The 2010 Fall Semester FAFSA Application Deadline is June 1, 2010. The 2011 Spring Semester FAFSA Application Deadline is November 1, 2010.

Students submitting late applications must be prepared to pay all tuition, fees, and related expenses before the first day of classes. Late applications will be processed and aid awarded to those students who are eligible after the start of each term.

There will be an opportunity for students to cast a $.50 vote for the "best dressed" student in their class in each category. All proceeds will go to the Samaritan's Purse Haiti Relief Fund.

There will be an opportunity for students to cast a $.50 vote for the "best dressed" student in their class in each category. All proceeds will go to the Samaritan's Purse Haiti Relief Fund.

A free practice test will be given on May 8, 2010 at AHS for any junior or senior who plans to take the SAT in June. Come by guidance for a form to sign up.
