Yearbooks will be on sale starting tomorrow for the rest of the week. Purchase yours before the end of December, or else pay $5 extra in January. Seniors: remember to bring a baby picture to put in the yearbook as your own senior touch.

The Health Promotion Club will be selling "Boo-Grams" today during both lunches. They are $1 and proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation- Send a message to a friend, teacher, a family member and help support Cystic Fibrosis.

The Scholar Weekend for November 14th & 15th has been opened up to accept any 9th, 10th or 11th grade students. All applicants must apply by Tuesday and are done on first come-first served basis. So get your applications in early. Go to gocollege@appstate.edu and click on GEAR UP and then Scholar Weekend for Application. For more info- see Ms. Hall.

The time for cap and gown measurement on Thursday has been changed from 9:00 until during homeroom. You will report to homeroom, then be called to the cafeteria.
All seniors are reminded that Joe Archibald will be here on tomorrow and Friday during both lunches for graduation orders. All seniors with a last beginning with A-L need to see him on Thursday and those with last names beginning with M-Z on Friday. Any senior that did not get a packet on Friday can pick one up in guidance.

Beta Officers- See Ms. Bare ASAP. Beta members attending the convention need to see Ms.Bare ASAP.

Congratulations to Jessica Gentry for advancing to the semi finals in regional tennis on Friday. Saturday's play will be continued today at West Stokes High. Jessica has qualified for the state tournament to be played this weekend in Cary, N.C.

Announcements

Nov. 2nd boys basketball will begin.

Volleyball home game today against Starmount. We hope everyone can come and support the volleyball team.

There will be a DECA meeting today at 3:00 in Mr. Wagoner's room. Students who have previously had a marketing class, have one this semester, or will have one next semester are invited.

Cross-country team needs to be dismissed today at 2:45 to travel to the Conference Championship.

The next Girls Basketball open gym will be Wednesday at 4:30 in the old gym.

There will be a DECA meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 19. The meeting will start at 3:00 PM. Any student taking a marketing course this year, or who has taken a marketing course is welcome to attend.

There will be a meeting for all girls planning to try-out for Varsity and JV Girls Basketball today during morning break in the old gym.

The Adventure Club will be hiking Stone Mt. on Sunday afternoon Oct. 18th. We will be leaving the parking lot at 1:30 pm and return @ 5:30. Students need to pick up permission slips at the school store. They need to be returned by Friday. Rain date Oct. 25th

Congratulatiions to Jessica Gentry for winning the singles championship in the conference yesterday at Elkin. She will be competing in Regional next weekend.
Also congratulations to Madison Wooten for advancing 1 match in the singles tournament. And Annie Bamboa for advancing 3 rounds in the exhibition tournament before losing in the finals to the #1 seed.
Last but not least- Congratulations to Jessica Gentry for being names the 1A/2A Mountain Valley tennis conference player of the year.
