8th Annual AHS Media Center Bookmark Contest
Contest Guidelines:
1. Each student may submit 2 entries.
2. All designs are to be in black and white only.
3. Designs and slogan must be original and should promote reading.
4. Bookmarks will be judged on neatness, creativity, and reading slogan.
5. All entries are due in the media center by Tuesday, Nov 17th.
6. The first place winner will receive a certificate for a large pizza.
7. 3 Runner ups will receive a certificate for a personal pan pizza.

Yearbooks will be on sale for the rest of the week. Purchase yours before the end of December, or else pay 5 extra dollars in January. Seniors: remember to bring a baby picture to put in the yearbook as your own senior touch.
The Scholar Weekend for November 14th & 15th has been opened up to accept any 9th, 10th or 11th grade students. All applicants must apply by Tuesday and are done on first come-first served basis. So get your applications in early. Go to gocollege@appstate.edu and click on GEAR UP and then Scholar Weekend for Application. For more info- see Ms. Hall.
All soccer players need to turn in their uniforms in to Coach Strode by Friday.
Shad Talley will be available for after school tutoring in Math on Tuesdays and Thursday starting this week.
Tutoring for any student who needs extra help in English on Monday and Wednesday. in room #116 from 3;00- 4:00.
Any senior interested in attending the UNC Asheville Teacher Day on Nov. 13th- Please see Mrs. Vestal to sign up! The deadline is today.
Wrestling Practice will begin today. Everyone must have a physical.
All JV and Varsity volleyball uniforms are due by Friday.
